Berkeley Lab hosted the Particle Data Group (PDG) Collaboration and Advisory Committee Meetings on November 20-22, 2024. The PDG is an international collaboration of 240 authors from 173 institutions in 25 countries. It publishes the annual Review of Particle Physics, which recently celebrated its 67th year in publication as one of the most-cited reference resources in its field.

On November 20-21, collaboration members gathered to discuss the group's current status and explore recent scientific advancements, new technologies, and future directions that will ensure the success of the collaboration and the publication. Collaboration members were also invited to attend the PDG International Advisory Committee Meeting on November 22. The Committee's feedback highlighted the PDG's outstanding work, especially regarding the new API and other platform developments, and recommended continued investment in their efforts.

“The work of the PDG is very important for the international particle physics community,” said Natalie Roe, Associate Laboratory Director for the Physical Sciences, in her welcome remarks to the Advisory Committee on November 22. “We greatly appreciate the advice of the International Advisory Committee.”
