The Physics Division's Safety Week 2025 ran the last week of January and focused on electrical safety. Physics Division Director Nathalie Palanque Delabrouille launched the week with an opening address, followed by a specialized presentation on Electrical Safety in Physics by Division Safety Coordinator, Ingrid Peterson. Laboratory Electrical Safety Officer, Ari Harding, led an interactive discussion and Q&A session.
Lab walkthroughs were completed by Physics Division Leadership, LBNL Electrical Safety Officer, and Safety Committee members. The Division recognized three staff members and their groups for outstanding contributions to laboratory safety. Congratulations to our award winners, Aritoki Suzuki, Dan Dwyer and Timon Heim.

Throughout the week, staff members completed various safety initiatives, including:
General Electrical Safety training (EHS0260) now required for all staff in the Physics Division
- Equipment salvage
- Chemical inventory updates
- Door placard revisions
